Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Appearing to have Lumps!

I have a 8 month old Staffie bitch and she's come up in what appears to be lumps but when you stroke her it feels like her hair is standing up-if that makes sense!! The best way to describe it is when you look at her the fur looks as though it's mottled pattern but with texture rather than colour. Vets is not open now till tomorrow afternoon. She's in season but is her normal bouncy and affectionate self. No sickness or diahrea (excuse the spelling). Not sure if I should be panicking or not and am inclined to think she may be having a reaction to something. Any clues or advice would be great till i can get to the vets.
With thanks.

Hi Faye

If she is well in herself and she was mine I would not be too concerned but would keep her away from other dogs until I could get her checked out by a vet.  Sounds like bites or allergy?  If you are worried I imagine your vet will speak to you - if not a new vet may be in order
