can some one please help. we want to get a staff bitch for a family pet after recently having lost our dog due to old age. can anybody recommend a breeder in the essex / kent area who breeds staffs for temprement and health as we want a family pet and not a show dog.

If you want a staffy pup that you KNOW grow into a nice looking staff go to a breeder who breeds for the show ring.They will have had all neccessary checks done on the parents,researched the pedigrees and raised the pups at no expense spared. All 'show' breeders produce pet puppies and are only too glad to have people contact them for a loving family pet .You'll probably find you will pay very little more for a pup  from a good breeder than from the bloke down the road who put his bitch to the nearest available dog...and a good breeder will offer you life time support if you ever need it....mine even boards my boys when I go away.
