Due to crazy schedules, my OH and I don't get to eat together duning the week at all.  I make supper and when he gets home at 11:30pm he re-heats it.  We also both end up taking leftovers the next day.  The problem is, I am getting tired of the same foods all the time.  We live off of Tacos, Homemade Chicken nuggets, Quasidillas, Meatloaf and Lasagna.  He isn't a huge pasta fan, but we do have Spaghetti now and then.

Is there anyone out there who knows of meals that don't take rocket science to make, and taste just as good reheated as fresh?

Thanks for your help.

How about curry or chilli - both can taste better when reheated and they don't have to be 'hot' (as in spicy) if you don't like that.

Chilli's a thought.  We both like spicy.  However, I am allergic to curry.

Thanks
Keep em comin

cassorroles!

Sausage, mince, turkey pieces stewing beef works well.  All very simple and easy (even i can do them!) and re-heat.  Quite often a popular tuesday dish for us when 3 of us eat at 6, and dad eats at 11:30 after ringcraft with something as simple as bread!!!

Sounds like us. I make super for the kids and I and hubby takes it to work the next day to eat. This will start up probably by next month when his shift changes to 1pm to 9pm but he does not come home at 9pm he gets home any where from 2am-5am very long hours and alot of over time which is nice, the down fall is that we never see him in the summer cause he is always working :(

I make the usual potatoes, meat, veggies, and pasta (he don't care much for pasta) but I love it so I don't make it that often because of him.

I found stews, chilli and fried rice taste real good reheated :)

Sheperds pie, always tastes better reheated I think :)

What about salad, it's quick to prepare, healthy and doesn't even need reheating.

cut potatoes into small pieces add sliced onion and beef sausage I prefer sliced, season with salt and pepper
cook gently with a little water take care it does not stick to the bottom of the pot. Serve with crusty bread and Lurpak butter. Oh and dont drain the juice when its cooked

Stovies have many recipes I make mine with the dripping and scraps off a beef/lamb roast, Jeanniedean uses sausages, some use corned beef. Many ways many dinners. What about getting a slow cooker and doing pot roasts with chunky vegetables? Whole chicken with carrots, baby potatoes and little turnips is good or a pot roast with brisket or similar - then stovies next day. Cumberland sausages can also be stewed this way with potatoes to make Zeppelins in the Clouds. Beef stew made with guinness is also good. Had me slow cooker since I married and wouldnt be without it.
