Hi, can anyone out there please help me?  I am looking and have been now for quite a while for a smallish, goog natured, light coloured shar pei puppy. 

I have read books on what to look for and where to look, but whenever I phone I just get told that I will be put on a waiting list for a puppy and then I never hear anything again!

Any news or information would be greatly appreciated.

Try them again and show that you are definetly interested and that it's not just a whim (sorry can't spell tonight).  Good luck in your search and sorry that I can't be of any help.  There are a couple of Pei people here maybe one of them can help you.

Most reputable breeders ALL have waiting list for puppies, and as mother nature can't always help every puppy enquiry out, re a puppy for all reputable enquiries, this is why we all have waiting list, many Sharpei enquiries have been on the breeders puppy list, for several months awaiting to hear if puppies have been concieved.

Over that last few months, due to Crufts, there hasn't been many litters that have been available, but now several litters have started to appear todate.

I know of a few SPCGB breeders that have puppies that have just recently been born, but can't be sure if they aren't all pre-booked, due to their waiting lists.
