I am the UK office Manager for a US company and one of my bosses who will be visiting from US soon wants to purchase a Cavalier KC as a pet. Can anybody advise me on ball-park prices for a dog/bitch puppy? I am based south of Bedford so possible purchase would be here ot here-abouts.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'n not quite sure of your area but where I live they go from £300.00 to £400.00 depending on bloodline, showing, sex etc. When I was looking for my pup in Nov most of the breeders I contacted had a waiting list for a bitch, and most also charged more for one as well. They also cost more if they have been innoculated.just make sure that the pup has had a health check as they can be prone to genetic problems with heart and eyes.Any reputable breeder will be able to tell u if there are known problems on either side but then most good breeders wouldn't breed a sire or dam with a medical history.Anyway all that aside a cavalier is a lovely intelligent dog with a nice disposition, easy to train and they make wonderful house pets.
