When I was 6 (a looooooooooong time ago :D ) my family moved to Australia. Not long after my 2 brothers and I became ill. We were diagnosed as having hepatitis (not the catching type - the type you get from poor hygiene). We were living in old army-style camps at the time. My oldest brother was not thought to be ill, but later in life was diagnosed with liver damage because he wasn't treated. My other brother and I were taken into hospital.
I have just received an e-mail from my other brother to say he now has liver damage - caused by drinking on a weak liver.
I know my liver is ok. Thanks to other health problems I've just had blood tests done and apparently my liver is working ok. At least I think it is. God the worrying I've done tonight. I can only thank God that I am 99% tee-total. That's probably the only thing that has saved my liver.
Thanks for letting me get this off my chest, but I had to tell someone.
