Well, last year we decided to have the back garden(not small) all slabbed to keep it easy maintenance and clean!! After many weeks of hard work and many £100's we finished...lovely!! We decided to stop it looking too bland we would leave 'ornamental gravel beds' down the sides and put 1/2 barrels on them with simple hardy plants.
Had Zara 4 weeks and Frankie 2....gravel is now constantly strewn across the patio and we have a maze of colditz tunnels!! Boy I didn't think 2 little ones could dig so fast LOL.The potted plants make good 'tug toys'....pull the leaves till they come off, grab one end each and PULL!! The honey suckle had gone to the garden in the sky and it really wasn't a pretty death....doggy equivalent of hung, drawn and quatered!!Who'd of thought clods of earth would make good 'balls'...carry them into the house and drop!!Funny thing is when you 'find' them digging and shout, Frankie and Zara just look at me ,mud up to their knees and caked round their noses as if to say 'is there a problem mum??'
Any way result is we've given up!! My pretty gravel is going and being replaced by concrete!! I'm trying to thing of some ideas of how to jazz the borders up a bit.Thinking of sinking pebbles into it...somehow I think I'll be lucky if its not permantly signed by 2 little doggoies paw prints!
Got to laugh haven't you...little darlings!Good job I'm not 'garden proud'

LOL at least it was a new toy for the dogs!! :D

Concreat with dog paw prints looks lovely, boyfriends been working in his garden and laed concreat down, put his initials into it and dog came out and trod in it!!!!  Looks lovely, so maybe do concreat and decorated it with doggy prints, and for abit of fun why not get the whole family over to add their hand prints!!!

Just an idea, would be very different and a great story if you ever have friends in the garden!!!

Also how about benches to make it look nice?  Scatter some around the edge, or because you love your dogs the stone modals if you find any of dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

give up until they are grown up lol. Leo is pulling plants apart, bringing in stones, leaves, wood and anything else he can find. How about some of those big teracotta pots withe plants in, a bench or anything dog chew proof (maybe a bench with a metal frame)

You can get colours for concrete so you could make swirly patterns (or the dogs could) :D

Will have to ask OH...works with concrete and tarmac.I know you can mix marble chipping in with it...he mixed the concrete for Ramsgate seafront when it was all tarted up about 4 years ago and that had marble chippings in it!!
