I'm having trouble getting fresh marrow bones locally and butcher doesn't have fresh pigs ears (he can't sell them - some EU directive  ).  I can get lots of cooked bones and raw hide chews, but won't buy these after reading posts on CD.  So, I've now found 'natural edible nylabones', carrot and spearmint.  Barney loves carrots but a raw carrot only last a couple of minutes, thought these might last a little longer. Has anyone any thoughts/experience with these 'bones'?
Spearmint bone contains potato starch, calcium carbonate, parsley, liver and spearmint.
Carrot bone contains carrots and casein.

No, afraid I only give raw bones; won't your butcher put some aside in the freezer for you?  It saves them paying someone to take them away.

Hi Jax,

Yup, I've used the Nylabone edible bones.  My dog is not an aggressive chewer and they are fine for her.  I had a Yorkie who I could not give them to - she ate them in big chunks and then would throw them up a couple of hours later, usually on my carpet.

By the way, my dog now was getting a bit of tartar on her teeth and I've been using Logic "toothpaste" (no brushing required).  It's proven to be very good and her teeth are now completely free of tartar.
