Hi.  I have an 18 month golden retriever who has been hip scored and eye tested.  He has a fantastic temperament annd I would love to breed from him.

I appreciate this will not be a money maker but he is a wonderful dog with an excellent pedigree and I would love to keep one of the offspring.

Any advice on what step to take next?

Hi guest
well done for having your done hip scored and eye tested before breeding him. However unless you want to use him on the bitch 'down the road' you will need to get him into the show ring to get him seen and appreciated by the owners of some good quality bitches.
He will need to be an exceptional dog to be used on good bitches since there are many wonderful GR's out there.
I understand you want one of his offspring but that still leaves up to 12-13 puppies that will need homes are you willing to take responsibilty for any of these if needs be later in their lives.
