I am thinking about buying a Kangoo van which has been ex Ministry of Defence, it has a fibreglass pod in it which can be split into two if I need to separate my Shepherd from the crazy Newf instead of the conventional caging. Has anybody had any experience with a Kangoo and this pod system, and do you think it will be big enough for my two large breed dogs ???

No idea about the pod but I have a Kangoo which can fit our two Maremma sheepdogs (probably the size of a large GSD) and one smooth collie easily without a cage and just about with one. Depending on which way it is divided you will probably be OK - can you try it out?
