Hi everyone. Just a quicky - when can I expect Milo's molar's (back teeth) to be replaced. All his others fell out when he was 4/5 months and we have had nothing since. He is 8 1/2 months now.

I'd be surprised if Milo still had his baby molars at 8 1/2 months. Are you sure they haven't fallen out?

I don't think they have gone, but then we may never have noticed if he has swallowed them What age do they normally drop??

I think I've only ever had one dog where I found most of the teeth. The rest swallowed almost all of theirs. Have a look, the adult teeth are unmistakable. I cannot imagine that they have not all changed by now.

Never found one tooth from my last pup and don't think I have ever found a molar, one of two pre molars but usually after the canine are out the rest follow with out much fuss and you seem not to notice.
i just discovered a few days ago that lily has lost 2 lower baby premolars at the age of 8 and a half months. she seems to be missing the adult teeth underneath and so had nothing to help push them out - she's all gappy now !

i could tell when she was about to lose a tooth with her earlier ones - she would run around the house skitsing about and biting everything in her way !

I spent my twelfth birthday in hospital and about that time I had a very young puppy. On being released from hospital I was confined to bed for about 6 weeks and during that time my puppy lost just about all his puppy teeth IN MY BED! I can tell you, they are quite uncomfortable when you lay on them!

Best wishes, John
