I bought Toby a car harness so that i know he would be safe in the car and that he couldnt get to me when i was driving, and also for safety if i ever had an accident,  well i dont know why i bothered, while he is getting himself comfortable he managers to unclip the seat belt  before i had the harness i only took him in the car when hubby was with me, i love takeing him in the car with me any ideas.

My car harnesses attach to the seatbelt whether it's done up or not.  You might try a different style.

Have you had a look at the ones at www.companyofanimals.co.uk called RuffRiders?
