Hi All
Angus has started vomiting during the night (usually about 4:30) and almost nightly but does not bring up food or anything else he may have eaten, only liquid. Any idea what could be causing this?

What time of day do you feed him? Bringing up bile can be a sign of hunger and perhaps he needs either more food, or alternatively the same amount of food spread over more meals. How old is he?

Hi
I feed him about 8:00PM and then take him out between 10:00 - 10:30 for his last walk of the day (he enjoys this, as our road is full of cats out on the tiles which he can look at - he lives with 3 cats so he knows not to try and attack them!). He was OK last night and also the night before so there is not a pattern that I can see.

Hiya
Ooh, this is such a nice feeling...passing on invaluable tips from other members who have helped me out (Jeangenie...again!)
Give your little Westie a dry biscuit (Boneo) before bedtime....its worked wonders when we were in the same situation :)

Hi Jo
I'll certainly try this approach.

John,
Sounds like empty stomach syndrome to me too. My Cairn throws up yellow bile if her stomach is empty. She has her dinner about 8 pm and then I give her a biscuit before I go to bed, which is about 11:30-12:00. I also need to give her something in the early afternoon as the wait from breakfast to dinner is too long.

It certainly sounds like Angus is getting hungry during the night (poor mite) so I think giving him one of his favourite biccies will help. I just realised that last night we fed him later than usual and he was not sick during the night.
Thanks for all the advice.
John (& Angus)
