Hiya, well Sweep had first show of blood 2wks ago tomorrow but no swelling of her vulva or signs she`s on heat. This happened the last time but thought it was because she`d just had emergency surgery. My other girl come on heat the wk before, so all normal there. Sweep is fine in herself, eating exercising, playing the same, does anyone have any ideas about what`s happening?

Do you think it may be a 'silent season'   my Lab bitch has started doing this and to all intense and purposes she was not in season but we had her blood tested and sure enough she started to ovulate at 16 days and went on to have pups.

Ooo yes think it is, I never thought of that!!! Just done a quick search & seems to fit ;) During the night she took down one of cuddly dolls & put it in her bed, also just scratched the base of her tail & it swung right over to the side. Thanks t/laidh, my brain must be dead rather than just dead slow these days :D
