Had entered my pup into an open show to be held on Sunday. On Saturday night be went for a bath and was looking fabulous...

Sunday morning, husband took him for a walk. When they got back thought I'd give him a once over with a brush and ...OMG a flea!! Horrified, I shouted at other half to hold him while I checked if there were any more...yup!

Couldn't understand it...I had brushed him the night before and nada..suddenly he was jumping with passengers!

Then hubby mentioned casually that he had sniffed what he thought was a rock...it was a dead hedgehog!?

Well, spent the better half of £50 fumigating the house, the dog, us and probably a half mile radius of the house!! I'm sure they are all away but every time pup scratches I'm over there with the brush. Needless to say we didn't go to the show but spent the entire day spraying everywhere and hoovering.

So be warned...the hedgehogs are out and about and some of them won't be alive themselves but might be harbouring some unwanted guests....

Yueeh!!!!

Ditto rabbits etc! Any mammalian wildlife carries its own colony, which is why regular flea treatment for your dog is recommended. I've seen the occasional flea on dogs at shows ...
