Took Frankie for his first jab yesterday..had been playing before hand so fell asleep in the car. When we went in to see the vet we put him down on the table...still asleep. The vet wanted to check everything was in the right place...still asleep...held him up for the vet to have a feel...still asleep....gave him his injection...STILL ASLEEP!!!.....Believe me NOTHING wakes this puppy when its asleep....

The exact opposite to Leo then, who doesn't like to sleep incase he misses something and only dozes in the day so he can wake up if he hears something lol

Ours is the same.  We call her 'floppy doggy' when she's like this.  You can really do anything with her when she's asleep.  Probably a good thing for Frankie that he slept through the whole horrible injection thing!  :)

Will answer for Archer, it's an Elkhound, my very first one did that too, was asking the vet if I should expect any side effects from the injection and she said he may be a bit sleepy, then looked at the sleeping form on the table and burst out laughing. Tell your OH not to be fooled, they make up for it when awake.

Thanks Jackie!  Lol, its ok he doesn't want to know because he wants a dog like that, he's the kind of person that when you tell him a good story, he needs to know the full details, the setting, what the weather was like, what you'd had for dinner and the dog's inside leg measurement. just so he can picture it properly and get the full benefit!
