any advice for my dogs ingrowing hairs on his chin.

perhaps more info is needed. my dog is six months old and seems to have an ingrowing hair on his chin. it looks like a pussie spot with the hair in it i don't much fancy squeezing it as it looks sore. should i just leave it? he's had it about a week.
