Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Obtaining Bloodhound Pedigree in the UK

We currently live in France and are moving back to the UK with our 13 month old bloodhound(born in France). We have a certificate of her bloodline, but in France, you have to show your dog in order to get the pedigree confirmed. We want to breed her in the UK, so I need to know how we go about ensuring that she has all the correct documents etc, in order for her to be classed as a pedigree in the UK. Can we arrange it all once we are in England or doe we have to do it in France? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry no idea, contact the Kennel Club and ask. I know that a dog/hound registered in another country with whom the KC have an agreement can be registered in the UK with no problem. No at all sure if this would apply to yours but if it is not registered in France then I would think not.

guest, if you contact me with the details of the breeding and breeder of your bitch, I may well be able to help you.
