Topic Dog Boards / General / Crufts 2003 Mastiff info wanted

Can any one help with some info.
I wastold that last year there was problems of some sort at crufts when an Mastiff with hip dysplacia was judged best or something when a foreign dog without hip problems was placed below. My info is that the dog with good hips should have been judged better.
Can anyone give me some accurate info on it please.
Also, although I dont show my dog (hahah the thoughts fun) is it true that English dogs cannot be shown in internationaly recognised shows?
Thanks

The order in which dogs are placed is up to the judge at the time and no one else. English dogs can be shown at international shows for which they are eligible, in fact in my own breed some do and they do very well too.

There is more to a dog than a pair of hips! You have to look at the dog as a whole. Unless a dog's hip-score is 0:0 then it has a degree of HD.
