hi, i was wondering if some one might be able to give me some advice, i recently 3wks ago not even that had to rehome my young staffie dog he is 14mths, because he and my girl where fighting, i found him a really good home with a family i knew and saw him about 3 times out and about and all was going well, then the lady phoned me and asked if i could take him back because he was beginning to fight with her older usually very docile shepard. i took him back and he seems to have lost quite a bit of weight i have asked her if he had been ill but when i saw him out with them i commented on how well he looked, now he is back with me i feel he has lost some weight, he has never been a terific eater, could this just be due to change in circumstances and upset? i have no reason to doubt the lady as she has always kept dogs and her shepad is very well cared for. i am a bit worried. she was also exercising him alot more than me i believe he was out everyday with her sometimes twice a day for long periods of time, i know it is probably nothing because he is fine in himself.

It could be because of the move or perhaps the change in diet if there was any ?
If he received a lot more exercise I would have thought this would have turned to muscle and he would look more toned rather than skinnier
Just a thought

Hi guest
we were given a 9 month old shiba inu a couple of weeks ago...she was slightly 'podgy'. She is eating me out of house and home but since she is getting more exercise she has lost a lot of weight and is looking rather trim!
If he is ok in himself I would think its just the exercise.
