i am very worried about brie my liverfcr,
she 4 1/2 years old and comes into season about every 4 1/2 to 5 months which is normal for her,she had her first litter in oct 2002 which the poor little things die of kennel cough.

well at christmas 3 week after her last season her gums and eyes were pale,she was cold and shaking and would not come out of her bed so off to the vet had x rays and scannes and blood work all ok.
well since then friend and other people in the breed have said she looks like she lost weight,plus she gum still some time go pale,no other signs like blood in stools,sick ect,

but she in season again 4 1/2 months.she on proplan a good food one cup full aday plus treats.

i just hope its not the same as rushand harley last year with the big c.so we off to the vets to see what more test can be done.

she not a big bitch she always 27 kgs but she look like a 1 1/2 year old dog,she not mature yet at 4 1/2.

i cannot lose her as well,

Terri, I've got everything crossed for you and Brie, let us know how you get on at the vets.

i been on a high today as i mated her mum to the swedish boy.then jo whos got fcr looked at her today a said the same think about her, so tonight i been worried about her,she a very sweet girl that not cause a problem in her life not like her half sister teyha nutty as hell donot know what plant she came from.

Has your vet run tests for Addisons Terri? It sounds so like Sue's Wispa.

I hope things soon improve.

i just cannot belive my luck at the moment with the dogs,
i good after them well with a lot of love and care,but it just keeps hiting me in the face at the moment with the dogs illness,but when you have 5 i guess there always going to be one problem in the house,with them.

Hi Terry can understand how you must be feeling, sometimes you just think what more can go wrong, does it never stop??
Try not to worry & wait & see what the vet says, you never know it might be something easily remedied & you`ll have been worrying for nothing :)

I was delighted that everthing went off fine with the mating yesterday - bit of luck you should have a cracking litter on the way.   Made me laugh the way they performed as soon as you'd gone into the house!!! :-)

I think John may have hit the nail on the head - with Addisons, it's not always the diagnosis the vets come up with immediately, but well worth asking about.  If it is,  I know another flatcoat who has live a good life on the correct medication, so it's quite controllable, but needs to be diagnosed asap.

I've just read this, I do hope everything will be OK with Brie, you're having such a lot of bad luck recently.  It was nice to see you on Sunday albeit briefly and we'll probably see you in a couple of weeks (?) when hopefully you'll have some news about Brie.  I'll be thinking of you.

thank you jo for yesterday help.

well went to the vets she lost 2 kgs since christmas the test she had  then was for addisons but they all came back clear,so we did more blood work today .

when she went it her mouth was pale and  got  red ulcer on the side of her mouth,her heart was racing to fast,bye the time we took blood her mouth was red again nomal.

no other sign out ward so i got to try to get a pee sample know.

so we got to wait.

Only just read this, God we're are a pair, what have we done to deserve the last 2 years that we've had?  If you did find out that she has Addison's have a word with Wanda, her old BC has it and he's still going strong at an old age. 

I hope everythings OK and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.  I've had a load of bad news in the last couple of weeks too!!!

Terri - been having a look under the microscope at the smears we took yesterday - Gollie's and Wisper's are normal quite right for the days you said - but I can't understand what I'm looking at with Brie's.    Had you just wiped her with a bit of tissue or something.   I've got some funny-looking longish strands, but don't think they're bacteria.

i have wiped her with a tissus,over the pass couple of day but not yesterday,

well i mated them again at 7,20pm got a 20 min tie andrew help out his first time mating bye holding wispa.

what all you look for under the microscope at the smears.

It is known as the great deceiver because it can appear like so many other things. I remember seeing Sue Clark's (Sue May) Wisp before the vet had finally come up with a diagnosis. Unfortunately by the time her did it was too late. She was very obviously very ill but it was so difficult to put a finger on exactly what it was that was wrong. I remember we had that day gone to a breed seminar put on by Barbara Harkin. Sue had left Wisp with Mike never realising just how serious it was. She asked me to look in on the way home to see what I thought.

Please ask your vet to check for this because if it is then speed of getting medication is of the essence.

she was check in dec the result were clear,so more blood was taken today,

yes she has lost 2 kgs,but none of the other signs that are listed below, just pale gum,shake at times,like a low blood leval,sign.

we wait and see what result come back ,i know that i been down this route so many times with 4 other dogs and it dose not get any  easyer,she is my first dog i breed and done well in showing and loves to be with andrew out training, all those cards and roselett do not mean a think if she as not got  her health and life.

Have e-mailed you, Terri.   Those strands loooked like fungal hyphae to me, but I really don't know, and worth asking your vet about fungal infection anyhow.

The microscope is brilliant - will waste too much time with it!!
