Cracker caught a mouse yesterday! Matt took him into a shop to pick up his leather collar -which he had chewed - and Cracker spotted a mouse and went for it! One bite later, and the mouse was gone! Cracker swallowed the whole thing! It made me feel a bit ill, but Matt is now really proud of his little rat catcher and so was the shop owner as he said he had been trying to catch it all morning... yuck. Anyone else had this happen? When I was young my dad used to breed canaries. He built a big shed to keep them in in he yard and every so often we would get mice 'moving in' because they were attracted by the bird seed. At the time we also had two staffies and they used to be really good at catching and killing the mice (much to my horror). :(

On Sunday Khanu managed to catch a pigeon in the back garden. (I have no idea how!) However he obviously has no idea how to finish the job, he was toying with the poor thing and had managed to mangle it quite badly before I noticed, so I had to dispatch it  Didn't let him have it though, wouldn't like to think of the amount of worms they carry.
We have to keep a close eye on Gypsy when we take her for a walk as she has in the past caught a 2 shrews, one ran away when we moved her away from it but the other shrew she caught had been hurt quite badly by her. We took it to the vets but it died of shock :(
yes mollie terrier cross has killed about 7 mice since october dad is very proud of her i think it is gross
