I have two dogs one of which has problems with frontline it causes her to get itchy flaky skin. I was wondering about the benefits of using garlic. Can anyone tell me how much to use how often and if the garlic pills for dogs actually work.

I feed my dogs fresh garlic wherever possible, one clove crushed into their feed every day; when travelling etc I feed 4 garlic and fenugreek tablets from Dorwest.  I have not seen a flea on my dogs since I don't know when.  I very rarely every spray them although I do spray the house twice a year.

Hi, I use a clove of fresh garlic for each of my dogs pureed with their other veggies daily, no sign of fleas either on them or the house & haven`t used any sprays for couple of yrs now, so have to say it works for mine :)

I've just done that with their normal dinner and they have cleaned the bowl. I will keep them on a clove a day each and see how it goes.

No actually their breath doesnt smell only my hands from preparing the garlic. But their itching is becoming less and less.
