:( :( :(
I have been eyeing a pair of shoes up for weeks but they were £79.99 so put it off, but yesterday i thought go for it (on the plastic of course). They were lovely shoes i wore them all around the house yesterday and if i could i'd have gone to bed in them! :D
Went to town earlier and locked the pup in it's cage and Dolly has the run of the landing, stairs and kitchen.
I came back and no sign of Dolly she was asleep on my bed (i gather i didn't shut the bedroom door properly) but i had a bad omen and i just knew the shoes had gone to shoe heaven.
A flipping big chunk out of one shoe. I am absoultely gutted i threw the shoe at her(missed) and she is now on the couch sulking and i'm in the other room ignoring her.
:( :( :(

Sarah sorry I laughed at your post I know its not funny & I am sorry about your shoes. Its just Jim is always giving me what for as I have the same problem our puppy is the same at 8 months. Cant remember when they stop it. :-D

Jean :-)

Why is it always the new shoes they go for? Why not the old and scruffy ones? :D I don't know how many pairs I've lost over the years. Must have cost a fortune ;)
- By mygirl [gb] Date 20.03.04 15:09 UTC
For a start you can stop laughing ;)
I'm a distraught woman i love shoes :( I wouldn't mind i forgot to put my trainers away but oh no they wouldn't do would they £20 reebok ones they had to be the brand spanking new £79.99 ones.
Off to B&Q tomorrow to put locks on the doors as i'm dead sure i shut it, she must have opened it herself.

And to top it off i have just been putting that wonder hem stuff on my trousers (going out tonight) and i burnt a flipping hole in the bottom leg. (Iron on too high arghhhhhh!)
- By lel [gb] Date 20.03.04 15:12 UTC
Sorry but I laughed too :D
Only because I know how you feel - when Gus was a pup he ate my most favourite shoes ever (he chewed the ankle strap off and there was no way I could repair them ) . Forgave him because he was so cute though ;)
- By mygirl [gb] Date 20.03.04 15:25 UTC
Get lost lel  thought at least i'd get sympathy!! lol
I dyed my hair to red last week and it was awful so i bought a brown one to put over it (its on now) so the way my days going it will probably wash out as purple.
Off to rinse it off wish me luck! (I sure need it :D )
- By jeanniedean [gb] Date 20.03.04 15:34 UTC
Hope the hair colour wasn't to match your new shoes ( sorry couldn't resist it ) hope your day gets better and you enjoy your night out :-D

Ahhh now this should teach you to ALWAYS put shoes away!!! (or wear them to bed!!!)

mum always leaves her shoes lying around so when we have pups they get broken down into "bite size" chunks!  Thing is she had 2 pairs of boots chewed before she wore them!  (My shoes live in my room!)

I learnt after leaving them downstairs when we had cats, found a dead mouse in one of them once! another time found a pair of frogs mating!  IT WAS IN MY SHOE!!!!  I was only a little girl at the time aswell!!!!

Had to laugh. :) :) My shih tzu has & is a pleasure to live with but the recently aquired lab is a nightmare she has always got to have something in her mouth, if its not been the cable to my sons consoles (shouldnt have so many then should he) Or infact most of my shiddies coat its anything she gets while on the move. God it could be my dog soon. No they get on really well. It was looking really good until she turned up her coat that is. The joy of dogs, bless :)
- By mygirl [gb] Date 20.03.04 16:07 UTC
Roxanne i DID put them away that's the annoying part!! But my dog is like Houdini but in reverse she can get into anything!

If you thought that was bad hear this!
I have been invited to a party tonight but it is a mutual friend of mine and my ex husbands, i only have him as a babysitter so we were arguing over who shall go to the ball (as it were lol).
My OH is still away so i was going alone, then i bumped into my ex's mum this morning and she offered to babysit soooo i'm going to the party with my ex husband!! (Getting too freaky today).
Probably punch his lights out by the end of the night :D
Still gutted over the shoes though :( I'll be crying about them after a few drinks lmao
- By ice_queen Date 20.03.04 16:17 UTC
LOL we shall never understand dogs!!!!

Well you shall have to drown your sorrows in a glass or 2 or 3 or 4..... and throw a couple on punches in the way of Xhubby to relive some stress!!!!!

- By jackyjat [gb] Date 20.03.04 16:31 UTC
Don't forget that if you got them on the plastic then they will be covered by insurance!  Check out your t & c's, send in your claimform and you could be in for a new pair!
- By tracey [gb] Date 20.03.04 16:48 UTC
Always keep my shoes away from my dogs after one of them were sick in my shoe
- By michelled [gb] Date 20.03.04 16:52 UTC

My Girl have you rinsed your hair yet,
Hows it looking dare I ask
Diane

Edited to ask if you dyed your hair on the plastic too lol lol :)
- By Harriet [gb] Date 20.03.04 18:00 UTC
You paid by plastic, so doesn't that mean the shoes are insured for 90 days? I would ring your card company and check it out. Oh by the way, P****d myself when I read your post. :P
- By jackyjat [gb] Date 20.03.04 20:19 UTC
I think you'll find it is true.  Plastic has some benefits to it other than satisfying our lust for shoes!
- By DUDDLES [gb] Date 20.03.04 20:54 UTC
:D sorry
- By mygirl [gb] Date 20.03.04 23:11 UTC
Ok for all you peeps that laughed at my dilema "I hope it doesn't happen to you!" Losing a totally good (GReat) pair of shoes is devastating.
I'm really drunk so don't expect logical replies.
oFF to southport tomorrow to replace the shoes because they are not covered by ther C/C (Bummer) .
The party girkl had on these really horrible red boots and my ex and i said if she clicked 3x she'd end up in Kansas. roflmao (i guess it's one of those funnies you'd only get if you was there).
- By mygirl [gb] Date 20.03.04 23:13 UTC
P.S Diane my hair does not look a natural colour put it that way.
- By mygirl [gb] Date 20.03.04 23:28 UTC
Also i yold my ex's mate that i fanci8ed him years ago and his present wife was a dog (think Janice Battersby and times by 10).
The party girl had saggy boobs (i dsaid this loud enough so that half the room heard  ) Can't show my face at school again and will have to stay in till i miove for fear of getting my head kicked in.
Off to bed to wallow in self pity and i miss my shoes :( (noiw in the \Wheelie bin)
- By lel [gb] Date 20.03.04 23:32 UTC
Sarah

Hope you had a good night otherwise though :D :D
- By snoopy [gb] Date 21.03.04 10:11 UTC
Sorry about your shoes.:)
This reminded me of my lot when they were 'little', a right bunch of chewers they were. I used to moan to my mum about it (gets it off your chest doesn't it). She never gave me any sympathy, just said well you will have dogs and you shouldn't leave things lying around.
Not long after i had to go away for a few weeks, so she came to stay, to look after them. She'd just bought a pair of reading glasses the week before, costing £180.
I bet you can guess what happened to them, i couldn't stop laughing. They were completely mangled. I said to her, well you know what they're like, you shouldn't have left them lying around.
Fortunately now she see's the funny side.
- By Lokis mum [gb] Date 21.03.04 17:48 UTC
Sorry to hear about your shoes - let's just hope that she does grow out of it ... unlike Purdey who, at the ripe old age of 14 yrs & 9 months just HAD to have a quick chew on the heels of my new boots

My fault - I did think that by now, she had grown out of it - trouble is, of course, puppy Freya, who is being "trained" by Purdey - was safely ensconsed in her crate - watching!!!

At least she now only has a token chew - I might just get away with blackening the heel again, as long as I wear them under trousers :D :D

Still - we're still glad we've got the old girl..........

Margot (who has since flounced round & put all her shoes & boots away again)
- By gina [gb] Date 21.03.04 18:44 UTC
LOL - I can picture it :p :p

- By mygirl [gb] Date 21.03.04 19:09 UTC
Just to let you know i replaced the shoes today  so i'm going to have to hide the CC statement from the OH.
Off for hair of the dog (wine) and watch a film 'love actually' that the kids bought me so i bid you goodnight! :)

(I am going to bed IN my new shoes tonight just to be on the safe side) :D
- By lel [gb] Date 21.03.04 19:11 UTC
Sarah
film is great - take a tissue ( if not for the tears then for the wine you'll undoubtedly spill in bed after trying to look at your new shoes ) :D :D
- By jackyjat [gb] Date 21.03.04 20:32 UTC
Were you covered by insurance on your credit card?  I'm so glad you got a new pair regardless!
- By mygirl [gb] Date 21.03.04 21:46 UTC
No i wasn't covered Jacky (crap card) lel i am drunk yet again and i've cried buckets over that film, god why did they buy me that film!! As uif i don't feel bad enough over the shoes lmao!

Excuse the typo's it's not because i'm drunk more these flipping false nails i've got on (Oh yeah i can be flash when i want). :D
£160 for ONE pair of shoes!! I'm gutted but glad it amused some  i keep threatening it with the NCDL but to no avail.
