Hi Jo
Yep - that happened back in late Oct 03 - she was spayed mid January. I have a sneaking suspicion that she's totally playing us - perhaps thinks that it's fun that she gets a reaction everytime she barks ie - someone comes down to tell her to be quiet. In fact there could be a wilful six year old human trapped in a spaniels' body! Have been wracking my brain all morning to think of a reason why she's being such a tinker - it doesn't seem such a big deal now but at 11.45 pm it 's the biggest deal going!
Hope I've posted this correctly - new girl etc

Hello again Guest
You should join...its easy to become a member, and loads of help/hints/tips are offered by people far more experienced than me ;)
Anyway..you know your Maisy better than anyone...and maybe she is just 'playing you up' :D
However, you could keep an eye on how many wee's and the amount she drinks for a day or two, just in case she is feeling off colour - especially as you mentioned that she's had a wee so soon after her bedtime one.
I asked about her season because this was the only time my bitch had played up at bedtime like yours. They can still have the 6 monthly 'clingy' season symptoms even after they've been spayed...and perhaps thats something to consider?
There could be something interesting outside that she wants to go back and 'sniff'?....or the little creature of habit could merely want her bed back by the radiator and is enjoying seeing you come down and talk to her throughout every hour of the night :D
I would trust your judgment....give your brain a break from being wracked :) ...and deal with her 'Kevin' stage by having an extra glass of plonk or two to help you sleep ;)
Take Care
Jo
