we have a 9 month old ddb we dont want to breed ,we just want a happy healthy dogue. we were wondering what was the best time to neuter him ?

IMO with a dog of that size not before 3 years and later if possible.

If it was my own dog and I had to neuter for some reason I would be very reluctant to do so before fully mature. Never forget that only one thing is guaranteed by neutering - non-procreation.

You can also guarantee that your dog won't get testicular cancer too.
It's a personal choice guest. But i wouldn't neuter until at least 18 months.

You can also guarantee that your dog won't get a brain tumour if you cut the head off :D Think the dog should be mature and doubt if it will be at 18 months.
