Hello!
I remember reading a while ago about a type of compost that was very poisonous to dogs. Can anyone tell me the name of it? We are having some work done on our garden and want to double check on this.
Thanks

The only one I can think of is Cocoa Bark, which is used as a mulch, and as it is coca based, can be poisonous to dogs.
liberty :)
ps. kisses to the flattie xxxxx What good taste you have in dogs ;)
I imagine it goes under different names but it is coco (chocolate) mulch

Thanks you two-that was quick! I was just doing a search in the Champdog database (should have done that first i know!) and came up with Cocoa Mulch aswell. Also a LONG list by Bulldog (from November) of poisonous plants! (Thanks for that too) Quite frightening- but goodness knows what she finds to eat when she disappears in the woods on her walks! Mind you she is quite a suspicious eater- she'll spit out "unknown" dog biscuits from fellow dog walkers, sniff them, lick them, suck them, spit them out again...and so on... before she decides whether or not it's safe enough to eat!
Thanks Again- will check out what goes in the "new" garden!
