My 5 month black lab has a dry nose and always has had. He seems well otherwise - does it matter?

In my experience not at all.

Sometimes my dogs have dry noses, sometimes wet, regardless of their state of health. :)

My brown lab, 11 months, also has a dry nose. And have always had it. I don't think it matters, she is doing fine otherwise. I thought it could have something to do with the food - lacking oil or something.

I sometimes put some vaseline on her nose, if I think its really bad.
