Hiya
I wonder if I can ask for some advice on what food to try Dylan on. Hes a 9 month old Cocker, & he's never really gobbled up his food he usually eats it when he feels like it even though I put fresh down twice a day. I add liver, tuna or chicken to Royal Canin, usually he eats the stuff I put on but leaves the Royal Canin. Well hes beginning to look a bit small so I've decided I'll try him on something else, but what should I try & how do I slowly introduce it to him. Should I give him alternate meals of Royal canin & then something different??

Hi Penny,

Best approach is to switch gradually over a week, starting with about 25% of the new food mixed with the old.

Have you tried Naturediet?  Most dogs really like it and it is as close to a homecooked meal (for people) as you can get in a complete, prepared dog food.

Have you tried zapping the Royal Canin in the microwave first, it brings the oils out and makes it smell more tasty.

Works for mine (well most of the time, I stick with it as she looks so good on it)

Sandra

ps I usually mix it with Naturediet.

Sandrah, do you mix water with it before zapping it,or do put it in the microwave dry??

Just put it in dry, I found about 20 seconds for a mug about right.  It will be slightly warm to the touch and a bit oily.
