i have a collie, who has started to itch and has a very runny tummy, i havent wormed him for years, could worms be the cause?

Wether this is the cause of his upset or not you must worm him NOW!! Not only is it neccessary for the dogs health but also to any humans he comes in contact with.
Dogs MUST be wormed regularly...depending on if you buy the wormers from the pet shop or the vets will depend on how often.

Agree that he should be wormed, but unless the problem really is due to worms it would be better to wait until the runs are better. Otherwise most of the wormer will just run out. :)

Never worm or give innoculations to a dog that is not fit unless your vet specifies otherwise for some reason.

If your dog is ill then the best person to consult is a vet who can examine him and see exactly what is happening.
