help!! i have a 12 month old male staffy, who has just been diagnosed with bowel disease. he has never been a good eater, but now the only food that i can get him to eat is raw mince and occasionally cooked chicken.
our vet says that due to his diet that he will have to have vitamin supplements, he is currently taking one steroid a day for how long he will need them i have no idea,i am just a bit worried that he needs somrthing to get his teeth into, i buy him loads of treats but have to be carefull because of his disease, he also tends not to chew things properly and gets things stuck in his throat.
is there anyone out there with a staffy who has the same sort of problems? if so any advice would be really helpfull.
thanks for reading barneys mom.

sorry to hear about the problem.the dog really does not need to get his teeth into his feed.i would try him with a plaque attacker (from nylabone) just to keep his teeth clean (as the feed he is getting will not do this , and it will give him something to chew.if he is eating raw mince will he not eat raw bones ?
