i wondered what is the best way to mate two virgin dogs, yes before anybody asks all tested and paperworked, both bitch and stud have met and get on but we have no experience as yet so would like some advice, she is most fertile from thursday.

How do you know when she is fertile? From your question I would guess you are a virgin too so would suggest you try and find someone in the breed who have experience in mating the breed and ask them to help. It is normal to pay expenses and often a fee for such help.

Have either the owners ever attended a mating before? It can be very different to how you imagine. Have you read any books about it? What breed are they (different breeds have different problems - coat, size etc). Perhaps you could register so that we could help you further.
