Has anyone read about this poor dog who has been sentanced to death under the dangerous dogs act, apparantly for what is described as a minor biting incident involving another dog. His appeal is now going to be heard in the house of lords. How on earth can a dog be destroyed for ONE incident with another dog, do you think his breed is anything to do with it, he is a GSD. Good thing he is not a bull breed poor dog would probably have been shot at sight. I thought that the dangerous dogs act had been more or less forgotten about, obviously not. His poor owners must be in a right state.

There was a bit about this dog in our local paper, giving the other side of the story. Apparently the owner of the other dog, who perhaps unwisely tried to intervene, ended up with her hand so badly wounded she had to be hospitalised, and it is thought she may suffer lasting effects.

Must admit I wondered if all the facts had been brought to light in the article i read, at no time was it mentioned that the other dog owner had been bitten, was simply described as a minor incident with another dog, obviously a lot more serious then. Mind you I am still not convinced that the dog deserves to be destroyed but will try and find out more of the facts surrounding the case.

i was luckly as two of my SBTs got out of my gardan just after two boys opened the side gate to try and steel them, well they did not get them :) but they did get out and within two mins they had a dog a gold Lab (that was also off the lead) and well me dogs done some damage to the Lab and as you can inmagian i was thinking that they would be pts, the lady of the other dog phoned the police and i just give up wating for them to come and take them but when they did that is all that was said that i must keep them on the lead at all times, i was very lucky as with all that is happing to the Bull Breads at this time.
the Lab is OK now and i did offer to pay the Vets bill but she said no, and the two boys have been arested for atempted robary and for letting any bull bread off the lead (and yes the police do know that it was not there dogs) but they just got a slap on the rists
