Why is it also so full of random wabbing about unimportant stuff? Why is it full of folk talking and not enough about the dogs? Why did they not show ALL the group finalists in Utility (dizzy) The BBC are rubbish at covering Crufts.

I think I saw Dizzy, well saw waist down!!!!!!!!! Was she wearing red?????? You saw a 2second clip of her and that was it!!!!!!!
Lea :)
- By Jackie H [gb] Date 04.03.04 20:40 UTC
Well we did see Dizzys foot and the bitch, so I would think Dizzy will be pleased by that.
- By Carla Date 04.03.04 20:41 UTC
They missed her out when they showed the group finalists who didn't get through to the shortlist - I saw shar pei come up on the top right of the screen but then it went off!

What a shame it was so short, i could have sat on my bum and watched it all day long on TV with my lazy pooch. :)

We get hours of DIY,football, fishing, cooking and other general 'hobby' programmes...and once a year we get a total of 2 1/2 hours over 4 days of crufts!! If 20,000 visitors are expected to visit crufts every day then surely this must warrant more than this!

Saw that too Chloe.

Think I saw a very brief shot of Casey...but that was it.  Damn it...that girl needs an hour to herself!

Congrats Diz.

My daughter and I just watched the half hour coverage of Crufts, along with Dicksy the cocker spaniel, he was glued to the tv so much that he didn't move when i went to get the camera, just wish I could attach the picture on here somehow as he looks so sweet, he can't wait for tomorrows coverage!

i think there should be a webcam so people can log on and watch crufts during the day etc
30 mins is to short

totally agree with the webcam idea bit,but let it be a roving web cam and we also need to see some of the youngsters that are there showing, wonder if channel 4 would be interested in running the tv programmes next year,
i mean they got a brilliant response from the faking it programme,
i would like to see doggy people introducing the segments and really explaining how things work and how the dogs all get to the final . As i would hate to be somebody that has not got a clue and tune in to find out what crufts are really about, they must think we are a load of nutters.
It would be nice for people who know nothing to realise that you have to win other shows etc to get to crufts you just don't turn up on the day.
well thats my say

Well if we want webcams for next year then we need to e-mail the kennel club and see if they could set it up. One for each ring would be nice!!

Another viewer disgruntled at just half an hour!  They can show 24 hours of Big Brother, Back To Reality, The Salon (well daytime hours for that one), etc, which, although admittedly I'm a fan of watching, is basically just people in a room doing nothing.  At least Crufts is far more entertaining and only lasts for four days anyway!

The BBC have a fantastic interactive service for digital viewers, apologies to terrestial viewers who this would exclude, but the option to watch full coverage via their interactive tv service would at least be a start!  I think the BBC need the hassling, rather than the KC.

Im suprised they havent allowed it on e4 or itv2 its suprising they could have got rid of the salon for a week couldent they ? it is starting to get a little boring now.
- By jessthepest [gb] Date 05.03.04 17:47 UTC
You'll be glad to know then that it finished yesterday - although there will still be the update of yesterday on Ch4 tonight, but other than that, for the time being, no more salon!
- By hippychick [gb] Date 05.03.04 18:09 UTC
why don't we all agree to bombard bbc or even try channel 4 on a certain day at a certain time bombard there emails asking if they would be interested in showing crufts next year and what goes on etc,

I wasent impressed at all with tonights showing talk about short! if they had of taken half an hour more they could have shown best in each breed talk about rubbish viewing !! the only cockers i saw was the first 5 from the same breeder . bbc need to get there act together , they devote enough time for tennis
- By Poodlebabe [gb] Date 05.03.04 21:35 UTC
and snooker!!

I agree with you Hippychick.
If we all got in touch with the BBC they just might listen.
Whether or not they respond is another matter but its worth a try.
We all seem to be of the same opinion. Its not on long enough!!!
- By luvly [gb] Date 06.03.04 21:12 UTC
lol we shouldent just do it for a day . but for a week they might get the idea then :D:D
- By hippychick [gb] Date 07.03.04 06:05 UTC
ok for a week, when do we start and what times would be best or will we just send them randomly.
