hello everyone . my problem is my girl, she has just got over a false pregnancy but she just seems so down in the dumps. she just picks at her food huffs and puffs all day except for walk time when she is her normal self .i have had her to the vets but there is nothing medically wrong with her ,she has lost weight [but she was a bit overweight anyway] can they suffer from depresstion and if so is there ANYTHING you can buy to make her better thank you

Dogs and Cats can get depressed like the rest of us. Unfortunately it is harder to diagnose in an animal - obviously!! Anyway though, you could try getting some vitamins for her this may well perk her up a bit especially if she isn't eating as well. Ask your vet to order you some or I am sure you can get some perfectly good ones in the pet shops too.

Hi yes I know what you are going thru I have had this with my shepherd bitch last year she had a really bad phantom not helped by the fact her kennel matewas nursing a litter I contacted sun essences ie they do flower remedys this helped Jordan enormously

I thought my last bitch was depressed after a phantom pregnancy and put it down to being down in the dumps. It wasn't - she'd snapped a tooth right at the back (where it's hard to see) and it was obviously making her miserable. I'd take her to the vets just to rule out anything else :)
