Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / puppy treats
- By DALLY [gb] Date 02.03.04 15:55 UTC
Hi,
i have just got a new puppy, and am trying to toilet train her at the minute. I have been reading so of the other posts, and they recommend giving treats when she has 'been' outside. She has been having the small bonio's, but reading the back of the box she should not have too many of these a day, so i was wondering what else would be suitable for her ( she is 9 weeks old at the minute).
Thanks Dally

Tiny pieces of liver, apple, carrot, etc

When we were toilet training my rottie we used chopped up bit of carrots, she loved them, and when she has been extra good, even now at 11 months old she still gets them as a treat :D

Small pieces of chicken - chicken roll from the deli counter is as good as anything.  watch the salt levels of things like hotdogs at this early age though ;)
