My Saint Bernard has recently been diagnosed with Megaesophagus, which means her food doesn't go to the stomach properly and she regurgitates most of it up. To prevent this from happening we have to hold her upright for approximately 15 minutes until the food has made it down the esophagus and into the stomach, if we don't and she inhales food particles she will contract pneumonia and die. The problem we have is how to keep an 11 stone dog upright for 15 minutes. If you have any suggestions, or know of any other Saint owners with the same problem I would be grateful for further information.

What a nightmare. I have no knowledge but wonder if anyone of these may be able to advise you. Good luck.
