Just been looking at hyperdrug.com and I see that Capstar (oral flea treatment) is available without prescription. It's a whole lot cheaper than Frontline or Program. Has anyone used it, and if so what did they think of it?

capstar is for immediate flea control. ie it will kill any fleas on the dog, but it isn't a preventitive flea control method.
It's good for kennel environments to give to new dogs on entry to the kennels etc. :)

Thanks Snoopy. I thought it was along the lines of Program. Ah well, back to contributing to the vet's holiday when the cats bring fleas home. :)
