Can anyone help me with the following please.
my lab bitch poppy is coming up for one i allowed her to have her first season and would like to get her spayed before her second season.
those of you who have already posted to me will already no that i had a collie bitch (lady) she was not spayed, id like to get poppy done this time as i have a dog ess as well called devon. poppy has about 8 weeks left before her second season, is this enough time to get her spayed in or will i have to wait untill after (dont really want to ring the vets as im trying to break that habit) thanks

Opinions vary but ideally you should have them done midway between seasons so if you can get an appointment within the next few days you should be ok. :)

Dont know if this is any help but my vet is happy to spay as long as they are not actually in season at the time.. I am having my girl done before her first season and she is 7 months so there is no way of the vet knowing when she would be due in season and they are happy to go ahead
