I usually just have lemon juice & sugar, today I've bought chocolate spread, bananas. I remember a couple of years ago mashing some bananas up and making a toffee sauce to go with them but I can't remember how I made the toffee sauce. Can anyone help, I think it might have just been butter & syrup.

If you place an unopened  can of condensed milk into a pan of water and boil for about 40 mins you will have a lovely caramel sauce when you open it. I use this when making banoffee pie. Just don't open it until it's cooled down.

I have bought from M&S apple pancakes with a toffee sauce, just pop them in the microwave.  I am salivating at the thought already.
