Diamond eye is a cleaning product you can use, but I would have her checked by a vet just in case. Some dogs' eyes do run for no reason, but she could have an infection or another condition which is causing it & if it is that, the sooner it is cleared up the better.

I have a Bolognese and he had severe brown staining under one eye, the breeder said it was probably an eye infection, £120 later after a visit to the vets we were told it was a blocked tear gland and he will always have it, you may be wise to get it looked at. if it is minimal staining I read somewhere on one of millions of Bolognese web sites I looked at that you can use boric acid, but I didn't fancy this much as I wondered if it may harm him with long term use, the very word acid put me off, and I would definately check this fact out before use!!! I gently wash the area to keep it clean avoiding dog shampoo and put up with the fact that he has a big brown patch. Any other suggestions from others? I think all the poodle, bichon, westie breeds suffer from this a bit, but I am no expert, just sympathising!

This could be one for Jeangenie's Bicarb recipe. I tried it recently on a pale buff coloured American Cocker, and it works. Disolve a rounded teaspoonful of Bicarbonate of Soda in about 100ml of cold water, and use the solution to soak the under eye area. Use it daily for best results. I store mine in a plastic bottle and I keep it in the fridge. I think you should make up some new, about every couple of weeks.
