Took Jade to the vets this morning to be speyed and to stop the false pregnancies. Found another hole and lump around her anal area AGAIN, cant believe that the poor dog has another one, the vet said that they will have a look while she is under anasthetic and see whether or not it has to be cut out again or if they can treat it with drugs. I'm feeling really sorry for her I don't know what to do for the best. I just wish that it would go away and stay away. She was only diagnosed with it about 5-6 months ago and she has already been on 2 seperate lots of drugs (metronizadole) for about 2 months at a time and has had it cut out once.Anyway will just have to wait and see what the vet says. Wish me luck

I wish you so much luck Amy, it's very worrying when our dogs are poorly. My GSD had to have major heart surgery at 10 months. I wept buckets of tears for days. I do hope you have some very good news soon.

Well Jade came back at 2.30pm and she is still pretty doped up but seems fine. The vet said that the af can be treated with drugs again but there is also an anal gland infection there. This is probably linked to the af but isn't caused by it. The vet took a look at her ears and between her pads and said that they looked more red than they should be. He said the reason she keeps getting the infections and her ears and paws are more red is because of some sort of allergic reaction he said she could be allergic to something in the water, the food or even something like pollen or grass so we will have to investigate it further.Thanks for your replies I will keep you all posted coz no doubt it will come back sooner or later
