Guest why don't you join the forum and then we can help you properly. The flank/loin is the fleshy part of her body between the ribs and the hips, if a bitch is pregnant they will become noticeably full.
What will be will be, she either is or she isn't.

Basically the flanks are the side of the dog - in what context was it said and is your dog still immature ?  If you register you will be able to give more information and get better answers to your questions
