i have a 12 yearold rotwiler named sabrina shes very old but she always seems to be i good health about a month ago i noticed a hard lump on her chest . she has had lumps removed a while ago but these were harmless sists they were soft ..this lump is very hard. she threw up green a few times and she is having trouble geting up in the morning to go in the yard. also the other night i let her in from the yard and she pooped all over the floor....dose this sound like cancer?

Sorry your dog is poorly but there is no way we can or should even try to diagnose your dogs lump over the web. Take her to the vets, if it does turn out to be as you fear the vet can help to make her more comfortable, if treatment is not an option. But for now do not think the worse, go and get a diagnosis from your vet, and good luck, hope the news is good, which it may well be.

all foreign lumps on the body are a form of tumour/cancer its wether its malignant or benign that is the problem. The lump if situated in the mammary gland could be a mammary tumour which is best to be removed asap before it grows too big and ulcerates, it of course could be a fatty tumour called a lipoma which will cause no problem and can stay in situ unless it grows too big, my advice would be to take the dog to the vet and get them to examine dog properly, they can usually tell what sort of lump it is by how its is attatched and where it is and if not thay can do a needle biposy to be sent to the lab to determine what it is and if its worth putting your dog through a g.a to remove it. hope this helps.
