my welsh terrier likes to look in the full length mirror in my room. Sometimes she stares at it blankly and at other times will run up and bark at the reflection. She's not the most cleverest of dogs but do you think she knows it is herself she is looking at?

We had a Welsh Terrier, she used to go mad because she couldn't find the "other" Welsh Terrier who lived in our greenhouse!!!

Spice does this too.She discovered the 'other' border collie in our bedroom, chased it around the bed and looked puzzled that it wasn't there? Then she went into my son's room and seemed to think it was there in his 'mirror' so she went up to it and kissed the glass. Now she wants to go into the bedrooms each time she sneaks upstairs behind me,so I have to be careful to close the stairgate each time!

She was barking at it and charging at it the first time in our room, but once she saw it in our son's room she just kisses it and lays down looking at it.

In a shop window the other day she also saw another 'dog' reflection and cocked her head looking a bit puzzled then continued on her walk?

I'm sure one day she'll realise it is her :D
