My wife has been desparate for a lab for years, having grown up with two of them. As we are now in the position to have one we are finding it difficult to find one that is not from one of the 'farms' that are cropping up, especially in our area, Lincolnshire. 

We are quite prepared to travel, up to about 100miles for the right Lab.  Although she would like a chocolate Bitch lab, she would consider black or golden, and possibly a 'dog' too.  We have 3 children aged 16, 14 and 12. It is to be a family pet not a show/breeding dog and will get plenty of love and attention. we are also prepared to be vetted.

As a final note, we may consider a rescue lab as long as it is house trained.
