I was wondering if anyone could help me. My 8 month old bitch is on the 8th day of her season and is being sick. :( Its happened over the last 3 days, either before her evening meal or early in the morning 6am (before breakfast at 7am). Its throffy (sp?) and bright yellow (her bottom functions are OK though :) )
Is this connected to her just feeling under the weather like we can at this time...or should I get her checked out at the Vets due to the description of the sick.

Hi, it sounds like she's bringing up bile because her tummy's empty. My dogs do this occasionally, usually before their breakfast. Giving a biscuit or similar last thing at night can help. Is she otherwise well in herself? Of course, if you are at all worried then give the vet a ring.

Hiya, She is her usual nutty self :D and not at all bothered after she's been sick....and I feel awful at the thought of it just being bile.....sounds like I'm perhaps not feeding her enough, although she's spot on her 21kgs? I have cut back her food, only slightly, due to the decrease in exercise during her season (other lively doggies in the area are expressing an interest ;) ) Should I have kept her feeding amounts the same..or just stick to the extra Bonio at night you kindly suggested.?

As she is getting less exercise at the moment you are quite right to slightly cut her food intake - it's easier to keep fat off than to take it off! I would give her a bonio last thing and see how she fares with that. Don't worry - it seems to bother us more than it does them!
