Not a topic most want to talk about but its a must for me!
I noticed about a month ago that from my dog's penis there is a like puse
discharge leaking from it. I have phoned the vet and he said that this is normal!!!??
"Due to dust on the floor this is going to happen, just wash with soap and water"
Ok if your dogs outside but he's inside and he's leaving traces of this on the floor.
Is this normal and what can i do to prevent this(my floors are brushed and mopped everyday, so its not a dirty floor,(as clean as it can with a dog about)).

Yes, it is perfectly normal for a male dog to have a slight discharge from his penis. The only time to worry about it is if it becomes profuse or offensively smelly.

If he's shaggy you can trim the long hair around his sheath. That makes it easier for him to keep himself clean, and the hair won't get matted with the discharge and urine.
