I am the owner of a beautiful 6 year old whippet, called Zippy. We have only had him for 8 months. He has never been trained and we are remedying that. However a few people have suggested to us that he would appreciate company. We are looking to take on another dog, pref. a whippet or related breed. Does anyone know where we can start looking for rescue dogs? We would rather take on an adult dog. Can anyone shed some light on whether or not whippets get lonely, or how would he respond to another dog? Is there another breed that he would take to better? My e-mail is sabishag@aol.com
Thanks :-)

Whippet Rescue: Linda Jones on 01234 838927.

You can get an idea of how he would respond to 'company', by his attitude to other dogs that you meet when you are out exercising him. Is he friendly towards them? Does he want to play? Have a chat with Linda, I am sure that she will be happy to advise you :-)
