we got the collie about four weeks ago and since then she started getting loose stools intill one day she started to have small spots of blood and sometimes mucas, took her to the vets and they gave her synulox for four days within taking the first dose you could see an improvement within days she was pooing less and alot firmer and we thought that was the end of that. then just over a week after taking the tablets she back to square one, we are back on the synulox and been avised to mix boiled rice in to her puppy food (bakers complete) any other suggestions to make my puppy happier?

my puppy has had quite a few bouts of colitis (the most horrendous mucus and blood) and we have since moved her on to Burns mini bites (and naturediet too - it's not recommended to mix foods, but it stops lily from getting fussy and not eating) and she is much better. we had to move her over to the new food very slowly though and we got something resembling cowpats in the meantime but she's been fine a couple of weeks now. hope your baby gets better soon
